How and when do I place my order?

Order must be placed each week by Monday at 5:00pm online or by email at mandy@lylewoodinn.com, Facebook or text Mandy at 931-627-2116!

What if I can’t pick up my box at the scheduled time?

We try to be flexible and understanding.  One option is to arrange for a friend or family member to pick up your box, or other arrangements can be made. Please call and let us know as soon as possible.

What if I’m going to be late?

Please call and let us know if you are going to be late. If we can we will wait on you, or we can make other arrangements.

Can you tell me what will be in my box in advance?

No, due to the unpredictability of farming, we can’t tell what you will get until we get to the farms.  It will be similar to the week before.  Also look at the list to see what is in season for the month.

Is your produce certified organic?

Our main goal is to bring you Farm Fresh, Local Grown, and Small Farmer Produced. Most small farmers cannot afford the expensive organic certification costs so we rely on their farming ethics of organic growth.

Where can I get information on how to prepare my food?

Well I have a cookbook…hint, hint. Or you can go online to epicurious.com. You can type in the key ingredient and it will pull up recipes.

What should I do with my box when I get home?

When you get your Farm Box home, you should take everything out of the box and decide what you are going to eat right away and what you need to put away, freeze or can, for future use.  This produce is not like the kind that you buy from Kroger, it doesn’t have preservatives to make it last for weeks.  It just came in from the fields, its fresh and may have a few bugs with it. So wash everything good.

Do you recycle the boxes?

Yes, please bring your box back each week so that we may reuse them. Also please bring egg cartons to be recycled.

Can I specify what produce comes in my box?

No, All boxes are the same. On the day of pick up you might find someone that you can switch with you.

This will give you an idea of what produce comes in which season-

Early season baskets will likely include strawberries, spinach, lettuce, radishes, scallions, kale, broccoli, sugar snap peas, bunched beets, salad greens, garlic and more…

Mid season baskets include blueberries, melons zucchini, garlic, yellow squash, cucumbers, carrots, sweet onions, beans, corn, potatoes, herbs, flowers and more…

Late season baskets include apples, salad greens, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, beets, leeks, peppers, hot peppers, eggplant, broccoli, kale, spinach, pumpkins, turnips, rutabagas and more…
