Live & Learn Day Camp for Girls

In 2012 Mandy Williams jumped into her other passion, Live & Learn  Camps for Girls. Her goal is to teach the principles of skills in which to grow confidence in our children in the world in which they live. We will use our natural environment that is both historical and sits in a beautiful country setting to enrich the children with a different way to look at life. Children will learn to expand their ideas and experience things which they may not have been aware they have an interest in learning. Personal growth for children on a level, in which they are at, will be gained through small group initiatives and individual guidance.

We are looking for girls that want to go above and beyond to live and learn alongside others in their own age group. This year we are changing our camps to fit the needs of family schedules. This allows us to give personal attention to each girl in our loving home environment. Our Teacher Student Ratio is 1 to 4. Listed below are the following three camp options we will be offering.

Our camps are designed to teach children through hands on and living examples. Live and Learn Camps are designed to help girls accomplish scouting merits, sewing, cooking, canning and fresh vegetable and fruit preservation, daily devotional, budgeting, gardening, animal care, quilting, basic first aid, daily journaling and self reflection time and lots more. Activities included: sports, crafts, nature hikes, group initiatives, fishing, camp fire cooking, and more.

Mission Statement: 1 Timothy 4:12Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.

Camp Facilities

We are located on the Cumberland River on the Stewart, Montgomery county line. The historical farm house of Maj. Thomas W. Lewis will be the “home away from home”. Children will share rooms and be attended by counselors and monitors. All linens and meals will be provided. Unlike most camps, they will be staying in a home, and learning to work together as a family to accomplish daily chores on the farm.

Friday Night Banquet

The formal banquet gives the girls the opportunity to shine with pride while serving dinner to their families. Their accomplishments will be displayed and honored during the awards ceremony.

Cost for Banquet: $15 per person (Camper banquet fee is included with camp cost)
